I awoke at 5 am to the sound of a light rustle or whisper and upon opening my eyes, saw a large grainy black misshapen cloud near the foot of my bed. The cloud was higher on the side nearest my bedroom door and immediately the entire cloud exited through the door. I have several night lights in the hall and it is fairly well lit so a shadow was not likely. I immediately got out of bed to follow it, without any fear, but with curiosity as to what or who it was but it had vanished. As I walked down the hall, a profound sadness engulfed me. I did not understand why. I had never felt such deep sadness without tears. This sadness remained throughout the day and I was unable to shake it off. I did not cry, I just felt so deeply sad that my heart felt heavy. I am wondering what or who this cloud was.
