An introduction to Peace One Day. A yearly event.
Reminder: Tuesday, September 21 is International Peace One Day - a day for healing, and spreading peace, goodwill and harmony into the future
This event was originally conceived in 1999, and has been growing every year ever since, and is authenticated by the Secretary General of the United Nations, the U.S. Congress, leaders in North and South America, Europe and the rest of the world. Every year now most nations and militant groups, including the Taliban in Afghanistan, have ceased fire for the 21st September, allowing among other things for millions of children to be inoculated against polio. What are your countries, and the aid organisations you sponsor, doing on the 21st, TOMORROW, to take advantage of this cease of hostilities?
It will take from 15 to 20% of the world population to will to bring about peace on earth for that really to happen, year-round. We are on our way to reaching that. Since the achievement of peace is the goal of all religions, including Spiritualism and Spiritism, and is what our spirit guides teach us, it is appropriate for us to send healing prayers around the world on September 21st, and perhaps take some action to widen this awareness.

Recently one of my nephews met a weapons and armaments manufacturer. He said bluntly "I make money out of warfare. Do you have a problem with that?" I won't say what country he comes from. The ultimate goal is to change attitudes so that no one will want to manufacture or use weapons of destruction. Peace One Day on September 21st is one step in this direction. Richard Rowley
